This year's theme is a mouthful!
Ministering as Servants of Christ: Teachers Who Serve or Servants Who Teach?
Explore that question with 1400 of your peers on October 24-25 for the 2013 Wisconsin Lutheran State Teachers’ Conference at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. This year you have the opportunity to attend mini-keynote presentations on Thursday which will apply the theme to specific areas of the teaching ministry: teachers, administrators, urban ministry, and early childhood education.
As always, you’ll also have many sectional choices. Learn about SMART Boards, early childhood crafts, a confederate spy buried in Wisconsin, singing in parts, dyslexia, and discipline. Here are more highlights:
- Pastor Michael Jensen’s keynote on Thursday: Christ’s Teaching Servant: Unique Purpose/Undeserved Privilege
- Veteran educator Betty Hollas’ keynote on Friday: Differentiated Instruction for the 21st-Century Classroom
- Over 60 different sectional learning opportunities
- Four devotions
- Online elections: choose your nominee during online registration. Check out the bios now.
This year we are again offering online registration only. The registration fee is $60. Click the registration tab above to begin process. Registrations must be completed online by October 16. Register early, sectionals will close as they fill.
Teachers, click here to take this 8 question survey on the state of art in your classroom. The survey will help focus a 2013 art sectional at the upcoming conference. If you are interested in reading more about academic standards for art, click here.
As always, we welcome your input and suggestions on this process, future topics, and speakers.
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."
