Common Payment Error Messages and Concerns

 
  • AVS Mismatch: This is an address mismatch. Please make sure that the address you enter for payments is an exact match to the one associated with the credit card (for instance, some school credit cards are associated with the church address). Although this is frustrating it is for your protection.
 
  • Unsuccessful payment: One of the most common fixes is to try entering your entire ZIP+4 code. Please note that if you are trying to use a debit card it must also be a credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
 
  • Object reference not set to an instance of an object: Double check that the billing city, state, and zip code match that of the credit card you are using.
 
  • No Confirmation E-mail: After a successful submission, a “Thank You” page will display. Within seconds you should receive a payment receipt and a separate confirmation e-mail. If you do not find these in your Inbox, check your Junk/Spam folder. If that is empty it is likely that there is a typo in the e-mail address submitted.
